Kerry Blackwood holds a M.A. in Early Childhood Education and a B.S. in English and Business from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. Kerry has had a variety of experiences working for The United Methodist Publishing House and for Christian Educators Fellowship. Kerry is also a Certified Director of Christian Education in the United Methodist Church. Kerry has been a school teacher and taught children in kindergarten, third grade, and fourth grade. Kerry was the editor of Babies and Woddlers and Toddlers and Twos, and was the writer and editor of Deep Blue Early Elementary. As an active member of Franklin First United Methodist Church, Kerry maintains her relationship with teaching and learning by serving as a Sunday school teacher to kindergarteners. Without a doubt, the joy of Kerry’s life is her family, which includes her husband of thirty-nine years, Frank, their three children, and their five grandchildren.
